Over five days in Los Angeles, Dustin partnered with VML to photograph Covered California’s latest statewide campaign.
Shot alongside a full motion production, the project spanned 15 locations and 30 talents, requiring a nimble and highly efficient approach. Moving fluidly between setups, Dustin focused on building quick but genuine connections with each subject, creating imagery that feels grounded, honest, and reflective of California’s diversity.
As a native Californian, the story felt close to home. Photographing communities across the state in a campaign centered on care and access was work Dustin was proud to be part of.
Now live on billboards across California, the campaign highlights real people and real communities, bringing warmth and humanity to the conversation around healthcare access.
